According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the recalled Orchard Toys Jungle Heads and Tails card game contains 24 cards and an elephant-shaped game accessory. Upon investigation, it was found that the product does not meet Australia's mandatory safety standards for toys intended for infants and toddlers aged 36 months and under. The core issue lies in the elephant accessory: a small cardboard disc that was supposed to be removed during manufacturing was not cleaned off the elephant's trunk. This disc can easily detach from the card, posing a serious choking risk if ingested by young children, potentially leading to death in extreme cases.

It is reported that the card game in question was produced in China and was sold in Aldi stores across Australia from December 2024 to September 2025. Consumers can confirm whether it is a problematic product by checking the batch number 5011863103772. The ACCC has urgently urged consumers to immediately stop using the game and keep it out of reach of children. Consumers with the problematic product do not need to provide proof of purchase and can directly go to any Aldi store for a full refund.

Currently, neither Aldi nor Orchard Toys have disclosed the specific number of products involved in this recall or the subsequent quality improvement measures, and the situation is still being further monitored.
